Ramkripal Yadav, the BJP candidate running for the Pataliputra Lok Sabha seat in Patna, was shot on Saturday. Reportedly, he was shot at by unidentified criminals on his way back from Masaurhi. He did, however, barely escape this attack. Simultaneously, a companion accompanying him in the vehicle has sustained injuries. The police have now arrived at the scene and are conducting an investigation.More on the attackRamkripal Yadav reported receiving information about an MLA illegally entering a polling booth. After inspecting the situation, he visited supporters in Pinjari village. While there, he was suddenly surrounded and attacked by 20 to 25 people on the outskirts of the village. The attackers used bricks and stones and even resorted to firing. A local supporter who attempted to protect Yadav was beaten with the butt of a gun. Yadav mentioned that he did not recognize the attackers. He also noted that two of their workers had been attacked that day.This is updated news.
