BJP appoints state in-charges across 23 states: Check who got what

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has recently appointed in-charge and co-in-charge leaders for 23 states and union territories nationwide. This strategic move includes prominent figures like Sambit Patra, who has been entrusted with coordinating activities in the Northeast region following his recent elevation as an MP. In Bihar, Vinod Tawde assumes the role of in-charge alongside co-in-charge Deepak Prakash, both seasoned leaders within the party. MLA Ashok Singhal has been designated in charge in Arunachal Pradesh, highlighting regional assignments across diverse states like Andaman Nicobar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Goa.

Leadership assignments in major states

Dr Satish Poonia takes charge in Haryana, supported by co-in-charge Surendra Singh Nagar, a Rajya Sabha MP Shrikant Sharma leads the charge in Himachal Pradesh, with Sanjay Tandon as co-in-charge. Tarun Chugh and Ashish Sood jointly manage responsibilities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Strategic placements in various states

Laxmikant Bajpai leads operations in Jharkhand, while Dr Radhamohan Das Agarwal and Sudhakar Reddy oversee BJP’s efforts in Karnataka. Prakash Javadekar and Aparajita Sarangi take charge in Kerala, bringing their experience to state-level leadership roles.

Regional focus and special coordinators

Mahendra Singh from Uttar Pradesh heads BJP's efforts in Madhya Pradesh, alongside Satish Upadhyay from Delhi. Across northeastern states, Sambit Patra assumes the role of coordinator, supported by V. Muralidharan as co-coordinator, emphasizing regional coordination and strategy.

Dilip Jaiswal in Sikkim, Dushyant Kumar Gautam and Rekha Verma in Uttarakhand, and Nirmala Kumar Surana in Puducherry have been appointed as state chief. Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani leads in Punjab with Narendra Singh, while Anil Antony and Ajit Gopchadde take charge in Manipur and Mizoram respectively, solidifying BJP's organizational presence nationwide.
