Uttar Pradesh: In an eerie real-life parallel to the Bollywood movie Stree, a man from Jaunpur has been dressing as a woman for the past 36 years, claiming he is haunted by a spirit. His unusual transformation has sparked debate among locals, with some attributing it to supernatural fears while others suggest a psychological condition.
According to reports, the man began dressing as a woman after being tormented by a spirit. Much like the plot of Stree, in which men disguised themselves as women to evade a ghost, he believes that his altered appearance is the only way to escape paranormal threats.
“I started dressing like a woman because a spirit was harassing me. I feared for my life,” he stated in an interview.
The man reportedly married three times, but he claims that the spirit of his second wife continues to torment him. He further revealed a heartbreaking truth—seven of his nine sons have passed away.
“After her death, I had a dream, and since then, her soul has been troubling me. Seven of my nine sons have also died,” he lamented.
The unusual case has left the local community divided. While some villagers firmly believe his fear of spirits is real, others suspect he may be suffering from an undiagnosed mental health issue. However, no definitive explanation has been found to justify his actions.
The story continues to be a topic of intrigue in the region, leaving many to wonder whether it is a case of supernatural influence or psychological distress.
