Tech billionaire Bill Gates is currently touring India, meeting with leaders and taking in the sights. On March 1st, he attended the lavish pre-wedding festivities for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar with girlfriend Paula Hurd.

The Microsoft co-founder also visited tea seller Dolly Chaiwala in Nagpur, known for her famous chai. "Looking forward to many chai pe charcha," Gates remarked, referring to the Hindi phrase meaning "discussions over tea."

On March 2nd, Gates toured the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, the world's tallest statue at nearly 600 feet. The monument depicts Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country's first deputy prime minister.

Sharing a video of his visit on Instagram, Gates wrote: "Wow! I had a colossal visit to the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue. Thank you Prime Minister @narendramodi for the invitation to visit this engineering marvel and thanks Chief Minister @bhupendrapbjp to your government for hosting me."

The clips show Gates posing at different angles around the statue and touring its museum. In just over an hour, the post has gone viral with over 1.4 million views and climbing.

Gates' India tour has allowed the philanthropist to connect with leaders and experience famous local sites. His visible appreciation for landmarks like the Statue of Unity and small businesses like Chaiwala's tea stall demonstrate his interest in understanding the country's culture and people.
