The 24-year-old was allegedly murdered by his girlfriend, Nisha Kumari, after their long-standing affair took a fatal turn. Nishas husband, Rahul, was working in Dubai, during which time she began a relationship with Rohit. He had reportedly left his motorbike at a relatives house in Nawada, planning to meet Nisha in Dharampur. However, he never returned. Concerned, his family lodged a missing report and accused Nisha and her family of foul play. Police intensified the search, even employing sniffer dogs to trace his whereabouts.Nishas confession and arrestUnder increasing pressure, Nisha eventually surrendered, confessing to Rohits murder and implicating a local man, Bittu Kumar, and others.
