New Delhi: In a heart-wrenching tale from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a woman finds herself abandoned and homeless after her love affair with her brother-in-law took a tragic turn. Kiran Devi, a married woman, ran away to Delhi with her brother-in-law, Manish, a month ago, along with her son. The pair, having secretly had a five-year relationship, got married in a temple in Delhi. However, shortly after, Manish abandoned her, leaving her stranded in an unfamiliar city.

Setback faced by Kiran

Kiran returned to Muzaffarpur but was met with rejection by both her husband and her lover's family. She has been sitting in protest outside her brother-in-law's house in Jamalabad for the past seven days, with her son by her side, hoping for Manish to take her back. According to Kiran, she and Manish had been involved in a secret relationship for years before deciding to elope, leaving her marriage behind. Now, with no one willing to accept her, she is left with no place to go.

"I don't understand where I and my son should go. I want to live with Manish, but he refuses to answer my calls," Kiran expressed in desperation. Despite pleading with her brother-in-law's family, they have refused to offer her any help.

Local police have not yet received a formal complaint but have stated that they will investigate once an application is filed.
