New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Bihars West Champaran district where wife has allegedly killed her husband after he complained about the amount of salt in the chicken she cooked. The incident took place in the village of Kolhua, under the jurisdiction of the Chautarwa police station.Details of the incidentThe deceased, identified as 35-year-old Shamser Alam also known as Lalu, was reportedly involved in a heated argument with his wife, Shahnaaz Begum. The conflict escalated when Shamser voiced his dissatisfaction with the dish, leading to a violent confrontation. At the time of the incident, Shahnaazs minor sister was also present in their home and she joined in the attack on Shamser.Wife and sister-in-law arrested for fatal assaultWitnesses stated that the argument quickly turned physical. In a fit of rage, Shahnaaz grabbed a metal rod and a stick, attacking her husband with brutal force. Despite Shamser pleading for mercy, the two women showed no signs of stopping. Their three children attempted to intervene but were locked in another room by their mother and aunt.The commotion drew the attention of neighbours, who rushed to the scene only to find Shamser lying in a pool of blood. They immediately contacted the police, but by the time authorities arrived, Shamser had already succumbed to his injuries.Police response and arrestsUpon arrival, police found the two sisters at the scene and took them into custody on murder charges. The authorities are currently interrogating both women to gather more information about the incident. The body of Shamser has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the police are continuing their investigation into the shocking circumstances surrounding his death.Background of the victimLocal residents revealed that Shamser had recently returned home from working in Gujarat.
