Bihar Political Stir: In anticipation of potential horse-trading tactics by the newly formed JD(U)-BJP government in Bihar ahead of the scheduled floor test this week, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has taken proactive steps to safeguard his party's interests. He has relocated all his MLAs to his residence in an effort to maintain unity within the party. The newly installed NDA government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is set to seek a trust vote on February 12.
A total of 77 RJD legislators will be accommodated at Tejashwi’s residence for the next two days. During this period, the MLAs will be required to refrain from using their mobile phones. The luggage belonging to all the MLAs arrived at Tejashwi’s residence this evening. Earlier today, Tejashwi convened a meeting with all his MLAs, instructing them to gather at his residence along with their belongings.

In addition to the RJD, the Congress party, the second-largest constituent of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ alliance, which recently lost power in the state, has also taken measures to safeguard its legislative members. Nearly all of the party's MLAs in Bihar, except for three, were flown to Hyderabad on Sunday amidst concerns of potential poaching by the BJP-led NDA. The Congress currently holds 19 seats in the state Assembly.
