Bihar News: In a startling incident in Kaimur, Bihar, a group of 13 individuals from Hyderabad disrupted a local primary school by attempting to preach a particular religion to students. The situation escalated quickly, prompting the headmaster to alert the police, leading to the arrest of 18 people involved in the incident.

Disturbance at school

The event unfolded at a primary school in Nibiya village, located in the Bhagwanpur police station area. According to reports, on Thursday morning, the group entered the school without any prior permission while a prayer session was ongoing. They began to make the children pray and distribute religious literature, alarming the school administration.

Mahendra Ram, the headmaster, quickly recognized the unauthorized activity and contacted local authorities. The Bhagwanpur police responded promptly, apprehending the group before they could flee the scene. Among those arrested were 13 individuals from Hyderabad, four locals, and one person from Varanasi.

Seizure of materials

Upon arriving at the school, police seized three vehicles and a collection of books related to Christian missionary activities that the group had been distributing to students. However, the police confirmed that no objectionable material was found during their investigation of the vehicles.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shivshankar Kumar stated, "Legal action is being taken based on the FIR filed by the school's headmaster." The SDPO noted that the group had neither sought permission to enter the school nor informed the administration of their intentions, which constituted a significant breach of protocol.

Ongoing investigations

In the aftermath of the incident, both teachers and students have been interviewed to gather more information. Authorities are also questioning individuals connected to the missionary activities to ascertain the group's motives. The SHO has confirmed that all 18 individuals remain in custody at the Bhagwanpur police station as the investigation progresses.
