Crime News: A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged from Jamui district in Bihar, where a man is alleged to have brutally murdered his wife and infant daughter before attempting to take his own life. The tragic incident unfolded in the Pelvajan Muslim Tola area of Balthar Panchayat, within the Sono police station jurisdiction, on Friday.Brutal crime unfoldsOlayat Ansari, also known as Sonu, has been identified as the primary suspect in this horrific crime. According to reports, Ansari, 25, engaged in a violent altercation with his wife, Nasreen. The disagreement escalated dramatically, leading Ansari to strangle Nasreen using her dupatta. In a subsequent act of violence, he also killed their five-month-old daughter, Alisha. Desperate suicide attemptFollowing the murders, Ansari attempted to end his own life by slashing his throat with a knife. However, his suicide attempt was unsuccessful. He was found alive and has since been hospitalized under police custody. Ansari is currently receiving treatment at Sadar Hospital in Jamui, after being initially attended at Community Health Center Sono.Police response and investigationLocal residents alerted the authorities, prompting a response from Jhajha SDPO Rajesh Kumar and SHO Dinanath Singh, along with their teams.
