New Delhi: In a shocking incident today, Union Minister Giriraj Singh narrowly escaped an attack during a public event in Begusarai, Bihar. The incident occurred during a Janata Darbar organized by the minister in his home constituency, about 125 kilometers from Patna.
As the 71-year-old leader concluded the event, a man suddenly seized the microphone and attempted to punch him. Fortunately, party workers and security personnel present at the venue intervened swiftly, preventing any harm to the minister.
Following the incident, Minister Giriraj Singh shared his reaction in a video message, stating, "When I was leaving the event, the man forcefully took the mic and started behaving aggressively, even raising 'Murdabad' slogans. I am not afraid of such attacks." Singh, who holds the textiles portfolio, further added that if the man had been armed, the situation could have been far more dangerous. "If this man had a revolver in his hand, he would have killed me. However, his attack failed, and despite his abusive language, I remain undeterred," Singh said.
