Bihar: Husband kills wife by iron rod, three-year-old child narrates story of murder to blind grandmother

New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Bihar's Purnia district. A husband brutally murdered his wife, and the heart-wrenching details were exposed by their three-year-old son. The child narrated the horrifying events to his blind grandmother, who then alerted the local residents. The accused has since been apprehended and handed over to the police.

The incident occurred in Bajaddih village, located in the Asaja Mobaiya Panchayat area under Baisi police station's jurisdiction. The victim, Kavita Devi, had returned to her maternal home with her husband, Julusha Sharma and their two children on Thursday evening. The peaceful visit turned into a nightmare the following morning.

On Friday morning, a heated argument erupted between Kavita Devi and her husband. In a fit of rage, Julusha Sharma struck Kavita Devi with an iron rod. The attack was fatal and Kavita Devi died instantly. Their three-year-old son, who witnessed the horrific event, sought out his blind grandmother to recount the tragic incident.

Upon hearing the child's account, the blind grandmother began to scream, attracting the attention of the neighbours. Concerned neighbours quickly intervened, apprehending the accused husband and ensuring he was handed over to the police. Authorities arrived at the scene, took Kavita Devi's body into custody and sent it for a postmortem examination.

Seven years of marriage ends in tragedy

The family revealed that Jhoolus Sharma and Kavita Devi had been married for seven years and had two children together. Their relationship had appeared stable until this unforeseen and brutal act. The sudden nature of the violence has shocked the family members and neighbours.

Husband charged with murder

Additional SHO Suresh Prasad confirmed that Jhoolus Sharma, a resident of Jabar village, has been arrested and is currently in custody. He has been charged with the murder of his wife, and further legal actions are underway. The case remains under investigation as authorities work to uncover more details about this tragic event.
