The protest was to condemn unemployment and water shortages in the state. When the crowd was becoming unruly, Kumar and a couple of others were arrested by the police.Kanhaiya Kumar lambasts government overhand
Before being driven away in a police van, Kumar criticized the high-handedness of the state government."We are not asking for lathicharge or water cannons. We need water to flow through our pipes.""We don't want water to be sprayed on us but desire that Bihar's Nal Jal Yojana function well and people receive water at home. When the government fails to give water in taps then it employs water cannon on students and youths," he said.
