On July 16, the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in Patna received a threatening email from an unidentified account, claiming association with Al-Qaeda. The email warned that the CMO premises would be "blown up with a bomb," and asserted that even Bihar’s special police forces would be unable to prevent the attack.
The alarming message prompted a swift response from local authorities. The Bihar Police and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) have initiated an investigation into the threat. An FIR was registered at Sachiwalaya police station on August 2, following a statement by Station House Officer Sanjeev Kumar.
The case has been filed under Sections 351 (4) and (3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, as well as Section 66 (F) of the IT Act. The police continue to investigate the matter, with efforts focused on identifying those responsible for the threat.
