Crime News: Bihar police arrested five individuals, including former Bihar Minister and RJD leader Chhedi Ram, on charges of land grabbing. The arrest came after a dramatic chase, where police chased suspects for about 10 kilometers. Along with Chhedi Ram, the police also appreciated Ganesh Chaubey, Angad Chaubey, Abhimanyu Chaubey, Sanjay Ram, Mahendra Ram, Suresh Ram, and Guddu Khan. The arrested individuals have now been sent to jail. What are accusationsThe case against the accused was registered based on the complaint of Vishnu Dutt Choubey, who resides in the Rajpur police station area of Buxar. Vishnu Dutt Choubey alleged that the accused, including Chhedi Ram, were seen encroaching on his agricultural land, which spans approximately 14 acres. According to the complaint, they threatened him with severe consequences if he opposed their actions. SDPO of Buxar Sadar, Dhiraj Kumar said that Vishnu Dutt Choubey reported to the Rajpur police station about armed men attempting to seize his land. Upon reaching the scene, the police found Chhedi Ram and his associates fleeing in a Scorpio vehicle. The police gave chase, covering a distance of around 10 kilometers, before finally intercepting the vehicle and arresting the suspects. Police recover 2 rifiles, 57 live cartridgesDuring the search of the Scorpio, the police discovered a rifle along with 57 live cartridges. This find has raised questions about how such a large quantity of ammunition was acquired.
