The altercation reportedly took place as the Governor’s Z+ security convoy passed through the area. According to Additional DCP Vikram Raghuvanshi, the man was warned to move away from the convoy but allegedly ignored the instructions, prompting the officer's reaction. “The Governor’s convoy has strict security protocols, and no one is allowed to stand nearby,” Raghuvanshi explained. A full investigation has been ordered, and CCTV footage is being reviewed to determine the sequence of events.
The video has ignited a storm of criticism on social media, with citizens questioning the police's excessive use of force. Many have demanded swift action against the officer involved. The DCP Traffic has assigned ACP Traffic to lead the investigation, ensuring that statements are recorded and appropriate action is taken based on the findings.
