Bhopal horror: 8-year-old girl raped at school hostel, CM orders SIT probe

A harrowing incident came to light, where an eight-year-old girl has reportedly been subjected to sexual assault at a private school's hostel in  Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. The incident has led to the filing of a case against three individuals, as confirmed by a police official on Wednesday. According to statements, the girl was raped at the girls' hostel of a private school. After the complaint, a case was registered under IPC section 376 (rape) and the POCSO Act against the three accused on Tuesday night. The exact timeline of the incident is yet to be determined.

Police response

The Misrod police station in-charge, Manish Raj Bhadoria, highlighted ongoing efforts to establish the identity of the accused mentioned in the FIR. Medical examinations and the victim's statement recording are part of the investigation process. Multiple police teams are actively collecting evidence to build a strong case.

Medical examination of victim

The victim's medical examination is underway, and her statement is being recorded. Bhadoria mentioned that a comprehensive report is awaited to confirm the allegations. The police are also examining CCTV footage from the hostel to gather additional evidence. Reportedly, swelling and injuries were found in the girl's private part. This was found during the medical examination.
