Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: In a momentous decision, the Congress leaders, chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, declared the commencement of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi. The expedition is slated to kick off on January 14 from Imphal, Manipur, embarking on a 66-day journey covering 6,700 km through 15 states.

Congress Leaders' Meeting Decides on the Yatra

The announcement was made after a meeting at the Congress Headquarters in New Delhi, attended by key figures such as three Chief Ministers of the Congress Party, National General Secretaries, in-charges, State Congress Presidents, and Congress Assembly Party leaders.

Jairam Ramesh, the General Secretary in-charge of Congress Communication Department, unveiled the route map during the meeting, marking a crucial step in the lead-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Route Highlights

The meticulously planned route encompasses a journey through Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

Starting from Imphal, Manipur, the Yatra will traverse diverse terrains, covering districts in each state and incorporating both bus travel and daily walks spanning 8-9 kilometers.

Kharge's Call for United Opposition Against BJP

During the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge emphasised the need for unity among opposition parties to counter the BJP's divisive politics. He underlined the importance of addressing grassroots issues and countering the alleged misuse of investigating agencies by the Modi government.

Rahul Gandhi's Vision for Justice

Jairam Ramesh revealed that Rahul Gandhi would share his perspectives on social, economic, and political justice during Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The journey invites alliance parties, citizens, institutions, and civil societies to participate, turning it into a collective effort to propagate the message of unity and justice across the nation.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra holds the potential to reshape the political narrative and set the stage for the Congress Party in the run-up to the upcoming elections.
