Rahul Gandhi's Address

During his address, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the incorporation of the term 'justice' into the yatra's theme. He expressed concern that in contemporary India, economic and social justice elude the impoverished. Rahul Gandhi asserted that the nation grapples with economic and social injustices, impeding progress. He underscored the government's neglect of farmers and laborers, highlighting their struggles to access banking services. In contrast, he alleged that the doors of the government swing wide open for a select group of billionaires. Rahul Gandhi deplored the escalating unemployment, pointing out that the entire country is witnessing its highest rate in 45 years.

Commitment to Social Justice

Addressing the oppression faced by Dalits, backward classes, and tribal communities, Rahul Gandhi declared Congress's commitment to revolutionary initiatives for social justice. The foremost step in this direction, he announced, would be conducting a caste census. He positioned it as an X-ray of the nation, a crucial tool for ensuring equitable representation. Rahul Gandhi contended that out of the 90 officers shaping the country's budget, only three hail from the OBC category. Stressing the importance of a caste census, he argued that it would shed light on the demographic distribution of OBCs, Dalits, tribals, and minorities in India.

Challenges of Privatization

Rahul Gandhi voiced concerns over the adverse effects of privatization on marginalized communities, particularly Dalits, backward classes, and tribals. He asserted that the ongoing privatization of institutions exacerbates the challenges faced by these sections of society.

The Call for Progress Through Justice

Rahul Gandhi unequivocally stated that the country's progress hinges on achieving both social and economic justice. He implored the citizens of Bihar to contribute to the nation's advancement by ensuring justice for all. Recognizing Bihar's historical role in championing social justice, he emphasized that the entire nation looks to the state whenever the topic arises.

The 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' seeks to engage with the people, understand their perspectives on economic and social justice, and address the prevalent issues hindering progress in the country.
