Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: Congress, led by Rahul Gandhi, commenced its 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' from Imphal, marked by a vibrant inaugural ceremony attended by tens of thousands. The yatra was officially flagged off by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, emphasizing its mission to seek justice, halt fascist forces, and address socio-economic disparities.

Grand Inauguration with Prominent Leaders

The Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge, inaugurated the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra amidst an energetic gathering of party workers, senior leaders, chief ministers, CWC members, PCC presidents, and CLP leaders. Rahul Gandhi received an enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival in Imphal, resonating with the yatra slogans of 'Nyay ka haq milne tak' and 'Saho mat, darro mat' (Stand firm, do not fear).

Homage at Khongjom War Memorial

Before commencing the yatra, Rahul Gandhi paid homage at the Khongjom War Memorial, honouring the martyrs of the Anglo-Manipur War in 1891. The visit symbolized respect for historical sacrifices and set the tone for the journey.

Vision of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

Mallikarjun Kharge outlined the yatra's vision, emphasizing its purpose to combat fascist forces, safeguard democracy, protect the constitution, and shape a brighter future for the upcoming generations. The yatra aims to address issues such as unemployment, rising prices, economic disparities, the fate of Public Sector Undertakings, fair prices for farmers, and gender equality.

Criticising PM Modi's Indifference Towards Manipur

Lambasting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's alleged indifference towards Manipur, Kharge accused him of neglecting the plight of the people during times of distress. He pointed out the apparent contrast between the PM's frequent visits for votes and his lack of attention when the state faced difficulties.

Rahul Gandhi's Address - A Call for Justice

Rahul Gandhi addressed the gathered crowd, highlighting the prevalent injustice in India - socially, economically, and politically. He expressed concern about economic monopolies, unemployment, and the exclusion of marginalized communities from governance. Gandhi pledged to listen to the people's voices during the yatra and present a vision of harmony, equality, and brotherhood.

Towards a Vision of Unity

Acknowledging the divided state of Manipur due to divisive politics, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the new vision emerging from the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra would stand against violence, hatred, and monopolies. Despite the constraints of time, Gandhi affirmed his commitment to interact with people across the nation, ensuring their voices shape the Congress party's future vision.

As Rahul Gandhi embarks on this transformative journey, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra holds the promise of addressing critical issues and fostering unity across diverse communities.
