Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has claimed that AAP leader and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had once approached him showing his interest to join the party. Sharing a clip on his social media handle, while giving an interview to a media house, when asked about speculations that he may join the BJP and whether the party had approached him, however, there was no immediate response on it. Sidhu captioned the post, “Nothing Concealed All Revealed.”He told me paaji, I am ready to be your deputy if I get him to join the Congress. He claimed that there was no further conversation after this.According to Sidhu, serving the people of Punjab is his only goal.Addressing the Mann-led AAP government about the mounting debt in Punjab, he said, They move in aircraft and luxury vehicles but debt has to be paid by Punjabis.He also asserted that he wants to work for the people of Punjab.
