Bhadohi: 17-year-old female house help found hanging at SP MLA Zahid Beg’s residence

In a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district, an 18-year-old domestic help was found hanging in a room on the terrace of Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Beg’s residence. The young woman had been employed at Beg's home for several years. According to Circle Officer Ajay Kumar Chauhan, her family resides in Kanshiram Housing in the Mamdev area.

According to the sources, the young woman lived in a room on the upper floor of the MLA's house located in the Malikana locality. The body was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan by her dupatta. The incident came to light when she failed to respond after being called by other domestic help. Concerned, the MLA's family discovered the door locked from the inside and subsequently found her lifeless body.

Police and Forensic Investigation

Upon receiving the report, local police arrived at the scene, broke down the door, and retrieved the body. It has been sent for a post-mortem examination. A forensic team is actively investigating the case, and the post-mortem will be conducted by a panel of two doctors, with video documentation of the procedure.

Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Beg confirmed that the deceased had worked in his house for eight years and was provided accommodation in a store room on the top floor. He noted that the tragedy was discovered when another domestic worker failed to wake her up and subsequently alerted others and the police.

Superintendent of Police Meenakshi Katyayan confirmed that the police and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams responded promptly. The body has been secured, and post-mortem proceedings are underway. SP Katyayan emphasized that the investigation is exploring all possible angles to determine the reason behind the suicide.
