Crime News: In a devastating incident in Bengaluru, two teenage sisters, Srushti (14) and Soni (16), were found murdered in their home on Saturday. Police have identified their stepfather, Mohan, as the prime suspect in the gruesome crime. According to authorities, Mohan allegedly used a machete to kill the girls before fleeing the scene.

Motive revealed

The girls' mother, Anita, had been married to Mohan for the past three years. Their marriage was marred by frequent arguments, with Mohan reportedly struggling with anger management issues. Anita revealed that Mohan's extreme stance against the girls' interactions with boys at school might have been the motive behind the killings. "Mohan was adamant that the girls should not even sit next to boys. This created a lot of conflict within the family," Anita stated.

Describing the horrific scene, Anita said, "When I arrived home, there was a pool of blood. My daughters' throats had been slit." Despite Anita’s efforts to address Mohan's unreasonable views, the situation only escalated. "I asked him, 'If you can talk to other women, why can't children interact with kids of the opposite gender?' But he remained firm on his decision to keep the girls apart from boys," she added.

Stepfather on run

CCTV footage has provided crucial evidence, confirming that Mohan was the only individual seen entering and exiting the house around the time of the murders. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North East, Sajeeth VJ, has labeled Mohan as the primary suspect in this case.

Family background

Anita, originally from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, had divorced her first husband a decade ago. Her former spouse, the biological father of Srushti and Soni, now resides in Dubai. Anita moved to Bengaluru three years ago, where she met Mohan through the Shaadi.com website, leading to their marriage.
