On Friday evening, Bengali actress Payel Mukherjee was attacked by a biker while she was driving her car near the Southern Avenue area in South Kolkata. The incident has left the actress shaken and has raised serious concerns about women's safety in the city.

Payel Mukherjee took to Instagram to share her harrowing experience, live streaming the attack as it unfolded. In the video, the actress is visibly distressed, narrating how the biker accosted her vehicle, breaking the glass window and causing injuries to her hand. "As I refused to come out, fearing for my safety, the man banged against the glass on my right side window and broke it into pieces, injuring my hand," Payel recounted, her voice filled with emotion.

"I don't know where we stand now.
