Bengal doctor rapes patient: A disturbing case has surfaced involving a doctor in North 24 Parganas who allegedly raped and blackmailed a female patient after making her unconscious with an injection. Police have since arrested the accused doctor, identified as Noor Alam Sardar.

What is the whole matter?

According to reports, the woman, who resides alone in the Hasanabad area, visited Dr. Sardar's clinic for medical treatment. During her visit, the doctor allegedly administered an injection, after which she began to feel drowsy. When she regained consciousness, she noticed her clothing was disarranged and suspected she had been assaulted.

Doctor clicked private pictures, demanded ransom

Following the incident, Dr. Sardar reportedly took private photos of the woman and used them to blackmail her, demanding a sum of Rs 4 lakh. He allegedly threatened to leak the photos on social media if she did not comply with his demands.

Woman's husband works abroad

The victim’s husband, who works abroad, was informed of the ordeal by a neighbor. Upon his return to India, the couple filed an official complaint with the police, leading to Dr. Sardar's arrest. SP Hussain Mehdi Rahman confirmed, "The investigation commenced immediately upon receiving the complaint, and the main accused was apprehended within hours of the FIR. He has been remanded to police custody for further interrogation."

The case has drawn attention to the vulnerability of patients and the need for stronger safeguards within medical settings.
