According to a post of Kavish Aziz on X platform, Accused Roy’s mother portrayed him in a positive side, saying, “Everyone should have such a son. He takes care of the entire house. His wife had cancer, and he got her treated. When his wife died, he started drinking in grief. My son raised his hand on his wife only once.” 

These comments, while intended to highlight her son’s character, have been widely criticized as inappropriate and dismissive of the gravity of the charges.
