Beaten with stick, forced to drink urine in shoe; MP wager brutally attacked for Rs 500

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri where a labourer was brutally beaten and forced to drink urine from a shoe for merely demanding his rightful wage of Rs 500. According to the sources, the victim approached police to file the complaint, but was turned calling the claims ‘baseless’.

As per sources, the incident happened in Bagedari village under the jurisdiction of Karera police station on July 14.

According to the sources, the labourer, whose identity has not been disclosed, faced this inhumane treatment from his employer when he asked for his due payment. This barbaric act highlights the severe exploitation and abuse faced by labourers in some parts of the country.

The police registered a case only after the Bhim Army staged a protest and following which the accused was arrested and a complaint was filed under the relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. 

Such incidents underscore the urgent need for stronger labour protections and stricter enforcement of laws to safeguard the rights and dignity of workers. Authorities are expected to take swift action against the perpetrators to ensure justice for the victims.
Meanwhile, it is important to note that this is not the first instance of brutality reported. 

Before this, three individuals got arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Sharvasti for allegedly forcing a Dalit minor to drink urine. As per sources, the victim was just 15-year-old teenager who worked as a technician. The incident when the teenager was on his way home after work, when he came across three boys, who have been identified as Kishan Tiwari, Dilip Mishra and Satyam Tiwari. The accused claimed that the minor charged more for installing audio systems at home.
