On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a powerful call for Hindu unity in light of recent events in Bangladesh. Speaking from Mathura, the CM expressed deep concern over the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, who, he claimed, are celebrating Janmashtami in fear and without the usual joy associated with the festival.

Adityanath emphasized the importance of unity, warning that division would lead to disaster. "If we are divided, we will be cut off," he stated, highlighting the vulnerability of Hindus in Bangladesh, particularly after recent political upheavals. According to the CM, many Bangladeshi Hindus are observing Janmashtami with fasting and prayers, but the celebrations are marred by fear and uncertainty. "The pain of Bangladeshi Hindus has doubled on Janmashtami," he said.

In a sharp attack on the opposition, Adityanath accused them of remaining silent on the issues in Bangladesh due to fears of losing their vote banks. "They speak on global issues, they see Palestine, but they turn a blind eye to Bangladesh," he criticized. The CM's remarks were pointed and direct, questioning the selective activism of his political opponents.

The Janmashtami celebrations in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Mathura, have taken on a heightened security dimension. As Yogi Adityanath participates in the festivities, the region has been transformed into a fortress with 4,100 security personnel deployed to ensure the safety of all attendees.

Yogi Adityanath's speech not only celebrated Janmashtami but also served as a rallying cry for Hindu unity, urging the community to remain vigilant and united in the face of adversity.
