Tina Dabi Spa Raid: District Collector Tina Dabi has once again garnered attention with a surprise raid on a spa center in Barmer city, part of the ongoing Nawo Barmer campaign aimed at cracking down on illegal activities and promoting community well-being.

The raid occurred on Wednesday during a cleanliness drive along National Highway 68, from Chohatan Circle to Chamunda Circle. Dabi’s attention was drawn to the spa center when its operator attempted to flee upon noticing her approach.

Suspicious activity leads to raid

While participating in the cleanup initiative, Dabi noticed suspicious behavior when the spa center operator hurriedly locked the door and tried to escape. Her instincts told her something was wrong. In response, she instructed the Additional District Collector, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), and the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) Secretary to break down the door and inspect the premises.

Inside, authorities discovered four women and two men in separate rooms, all of whom were immediately detained. The local police were called, and the individuals were taken to the station for further questioning.

Allegations of suspicious activities in guise of spa

Local residents have long claimed that illegal activities were taking place under the guise of spa services in Barmer. They allege that some of these establishments operate with police protection, allowing them to continue illicit activities without fear of repercussions. Community members have previously staged protests, demanding the closure of these spas, which they claim have been engaging in immoral activities under the pretense of offering massage services.
