Bariely: In a shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a government primary school in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, has come under fire after a video went viral showing two schoolgirls cleaning toilets instead of focusing on their education. The students from Primary School Gargaiya, located in the Damkhoda block, were seen holding brooms and buckets, carrying out cleaning tasks on the orders of the school’s headmaster.

Viral video exposes shocking practice

The disturbing video, which has been widely shared on social media, shows two young girls in school uniforms performing tasks that are far from their academic responsibilities. One girl is seen sweeping the floor with a broom, while the other holds a bucket, apparently to clean the school toilets. The students revealed that they were doing this on the direct instructions of the headmaster, Haider Ali.

As the video circulated online, it drew immediate attention from concerned citizens and authorities alike. The Block Education Officer (BEO) and the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Sanjay Singh were quick to take note of the incident, promising a full investigation and action against those responsible.

Parents express outrage over school conditions

Parents send their children to school with the hope of providing them with a proper education, but this incident has raised serious questions about the state of the educational system in some government-run schools. The video highlights a troubling issue where students are being used for manual labor rather than focusing on their studies. This has caused an uproar, with many demanding accountability from school authorities.

The person who recorded the video reportedly stopped the students from continuing with the cleaning and asked them why they were doing it. In response, the girls explained that they were cleaning the toilets at the behest of "Bade Sir" (Headmaster Haider Ali), who had instructed them to complete the task and promised to inspect the cleanliness afterward.

Immediate investigation ordered

Following the public backlash, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari, Sanjay Singh, confirmed that the viral video had come to his attention and that he has requested a detailed report on the incident from the Block Education Officer of Damkhoda. Singh has assured the public that strict action will be taken against the responsible parties once the investigation is completed.

Awaiting action against the headmaster

As the investigation unfolds, there is growing anticipation regarding the disciplinary measures that will be imposed on the headmaster, Haider Ali, for his alleged involvement in forcing the students to perform menial labor. Authorities have indicated that the headmaster could face legal action based on the findings of the inquiry.

This incident has once again highlighted the critical need for reforms in the education sector, especially in government schools, to ensure that students are provided with a safe and conducive learning environment.
