New Delhi: Bareilly Police have apprehended Rajan Verma, an individual who falsely claimed to be a constable in the Uttar Pradesh Police. Despite only being an 8th-grade pass, Verma successfully deceived several female police constables, luring them into romantic relationships under the pretext of marriage, only to later flee with their money.

Rajan Verma, who was not an actual police officer, specifically targeted female constables with the surname 'Verma.' His modus operandi involved befriending these women, cultivating a romantic relationship, and ultimately promising marriage. After gaining their trust and securing financial benefits, he would abscond, leaving the victims devastated.

Moradabad on the case

Verma's criminal activities extended across multiple districts, with rape cases registered against him in Moradabad, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shravasti, and Bareilly.
