UP News: In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a newlywed bride abandoned her groom on the wedding night after discovering he was allegedly impotent. The bride left the marital home that very night, contacted her father, and returned to her maternal home. Upon hearing her story, her father became enraged and summoned the middleman responsible for arranging the marriage. The family then held the broker captive overnight and beat him.Brides shocking revelationThe incident took place in Bareillys CBganj area, where the bride had been married on September 28 based on the recommendation of a marriage broker from Bithri Chainpur. After spending just a few hours with her new husband, the bride claims she discovered that he was impotent. Devastated by this revelation, she immediately left the house and called her father for help.Middleman assaulted by brides familyWhen the brides father heard her account, he called the middleman to his home and, along with other family members, held him hostage. The broker was severely beaten throughout the night. The situation escalated until the police intervened, freeing the middleman and initiating an investigation. An FIR has been lodged against four individuals from the brides family. Both sides have presented their versions of events, with the grooms family denying the brides claims.
