His body was discovered in a sack behind his father Karan Singhs house days later. Bloodstains on the staircase of Bhanu Singhs residence led investigators to suspect foul play. Upon interrogation, Bhanu confessed to murdering the child with the involvement of Yashoda. According to Bhanu, the young boy had seen them in a compromising situation, and they feared he would disclose their affair to his father.The Murder and Cover-UpOn the day of the incident, Yashoda sent Raunak out to buy candies, giving Bhanu an opportunity to commit the crime. Bhanu lured the boy into his room and struck him on the head with a ladle, killing him instantly. They concealed the body in a sack and hid it on the rooftop of a neighboring house. To mislead the community, Yashoda raised an alarm, pretending that her son had been kidnapped.Failed Attempt to Dispose of the BodyAs the body began decomposing, the accused tried to dispose of it. On Monday morning, they moved the sack to the alley behind their home, hoping to avoid detection. However, the stench from the body and incriminating bloodstains led police to their arrest.
