Bangladeshi porn star: In a significant development, Bangladeshi porn star Riya Barde, also known as Arohi Barde, was arrested by the Hill Line Police in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, for allegedly residing in India illegally. The actress reportedly obtained an Indian passport using forged documents.

Riya, along with her mother and siblings, is accused of overstaying in India without proper documentation. According to media reports, it is alleged that her mother married a man from Amravati to facilitate their illegal stay in the country.

Family involved in passport fraud

Riya’s family members, including her mother Anjali Barde, also known as Ruby Sheikh, her father Arvind Barde, brother Ravindra (alias Riyaz Sheikh), and sister Ritu (alias Moni Sheikh), have also been implicated in the case. They face charges under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 479 (using a forged document as genuine), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), and 14A of the Foreigners Act.
