In a groundbreaking initiative, the Ayodhya administration is undertaking the installation of the world's longest solar light line, setting a remarkable record ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony. The project involves seamlessly connecting several ghats that were previously segmented, with the administration extending the installation from Guptar Ghat to Jhunki Ghat and further to Nayaghat.

Connecting segmented ghats

The Ayodhya administration's visionary project focuses on linking various ghats, creating a continuous stretch of solar lights that will not only illuminate the holy sites but also contribute to the aesthetics of the city. The connection from Guptar Ghat to Jhunki Ghat has already been completed, and the extension to Nayaghat is currently underway.

Preparations for Lord Ram Pran Pratishtha ceremony

Aligned with the preparations for the upcoming 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony for Lord Ram in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is launching a mega cleanliness campaign from Makar Sankranti. The Urban Development and Panchayati Raj Departments have been entrusted with the responsibility of executing an extensive cleanliness drive in every village, city, and locality across the state.

Global attention and VVIP guests

The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, scheduled for January 22 at the Ram Temple, has garnered substantial global attention. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to preside over the event, with numerous VVIP guests from India and abroad receiving invitations. However, some notable figures from the Congress party, including national president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have declined the invitations, labelling it as an event associated with the BJP and the RSS.

Rituals and celebrations

The Vedic rituals for the 'Pran-Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Lalla are scheduled to commence on January 16, a week before the main ceremony on January 22. A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will conduct the central rituals, marking a spiritually significant moment for Ayodhya. The period from January 14 to January 22 will be celebrated as the Amrit Mahotsav.

Logistical arrangements and security measures

In anticipation of the grand ceremony, Ayodhya is preparing to host thousands of devotees. A 1008 Kundiya Mahayagya is also on the agenda, aiming to feed thousands of devotees. To accommodate the expected influx of attendees, several tent cities are being erected, and arrangements are in place for 10,000-15,000 people, as confirmed by the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust. Local authorities are diligently implementing enhanced security measures and logistical arrangements to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all participants.

The world's longest solar light line installation not only illuminates Ayodhya's ghats but also symbolises the city's commitment to innovation and sustainability. As the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony approaches, Ayodhya is poised to witness a convergence of tradition, spirituality, and modernity on a global stage.
