Scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, the airport pays tribute to the revered sage poet Maharishi Valmiki.Key Features of the Ayodhya AirportThe first phase of the state-of-the-art airport has been developed at a cost exceeding Rs 1,450 crore. With a terminal building covering 6500 sqm, capable of serving approximately 10 lakh passengers annually, the airport boasts a facade inspired by the architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The interiors are adorned with local art, paintings, and murals depicting the life of Bhagwan Shri Ram.Sustainability InitiativesThe terminal building incorporates various sustainability features, including an insulated roofing system, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, fountains, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, and a solar power plant.
