New Delhi: In a shocking incident in the Maharajganj area of Ayodhya, a 4-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by a youth on Monday evening. The accused, identified as Salman, lured the child with sweets before taking her to his house, where the crime was committed. The accused fled the scene, leaving the victim critically injured and soaked in blood. Upon receiving the information, local police reached the spot and rushed the girl to a nearby hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Given the communal sensitivity of the case, heavy police deployment from four nearby stations has been arranged in the area to prevent any potential unrest. Sadar Circle Officer Sandeep Singh, who is leading the investigation, stated that the victim had been missing since Monday evening. “The accused took her to his house under the pretext of giving her sweets and then committed the crime. We have registered a case under relevant sections, and multiple teams are actively searching for him. He will be apprehended soon,” Singh said.
