Ayodhya decked up for PM Modi's visit, security tightened

PM Modi is scheduled to arrive at the newly-built Ayodhya Airport around 10:45 am and then will inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station and flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains.

Ayodhya, the holy city in Uttar Pradesh, is all set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, 2023. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the PM's visit, with heavy security deployment and beautification of the city being the top priorities.

Over 5,000 security personnel, including anti-terror squads, have been deployed across the city. Multi-layered security rings have been created around the venues where the PM will be visiting. Drones are being used for aerial surveillance. In addition to this, Sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads are on standby.

Ayodhya decorated with flowers and lights

The city has been adorned with flowers, rangoli, and colourful buntings. Gateways and important landmarks have been given a facelift. Walls are painted with murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. Lighting arrangements have been made to illuminate the city at night.

PM Modi's itinerary

According to the official release, PM Modi is scheduled to arrive at the newly-built Ayodhya Airport around 10:45 am and then will inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station and flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains.

Apart from this, he is also expected to address a gathering. He will also lay the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 15,000 crore. These include projects worth about Rs 11,100 crore for the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas and projects worth about Rs 4600 crore related to other projects across Uttar Pradesh.

It is to be noted here that PM Modi's visit to Ayodhya comes at a time when the construction of the Ram Temple is in full swing. It is also expected to boost tourism and pilgrimage in Ayodhya.
