Ayodhya all set to welcome 100 chartered planes on January 22

The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanth said on Thursday said that 100 chartered planes will land in Ayodhya on January 22 on 'Pran Partishtha Day'.

"Around 100 chartered planes will land at the Ayodhya airport on 22nd January to attend the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple. This will also show us the path of checking the potential of the Ayodhya airport" said Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

While addressing the media on Thursday, CM Yogi also thanked PM Narendra Modi for the fourth international airport in Uttar Pradesh, which was inaugurated on December 30, 2023.

"I am grateful to PM Narendra Modi for giving the fourth international airport to Uttar Pradesh. The Ayodhya airport was inaugurated on December 30th" the Uttar Pradesh CM added.

The Prime Minister officially opened the recently constructed Ayodhya Airport on December 30, 2023. Subsequently, he declared during a public speech that the path of knowledge that unites us with Shri Ram is found in Maharishi Valmiki's Ramayana.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, along with other high-ranking officials, inaugurated the inaugural tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya on Thursday.

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport can accommodate 10 lakh passengers yearly in its first phase and 60 lakh commuters annually in its second phase. The construction of Phase 1 of the cutting-edge airport has cost around Rs 1,450 crore.

The airport's 6500 square metre terminal building will be able to accommodate roughly 10 lakh passengers a year. The Terminal Building's front is a representation of the Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya's future temple architecture.

Meanwhile, CISF has taken over the security of Ayodhya airport. The unit will be headed by a Deputy Commandant rank officer.
