New Delhi: Swami Govindananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj spoke out against Swami Avimukteshwaranand, the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath on Sunday. Addressing the media, he stated, This is Varanasi Courts order. A non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against him, and he was declared an absconder. We want to bring this to the Supreme Courts attention, but they keep postponing, and we want justice.Allegations of harm and deceptionGovindananda Saraswati accused Swami Avimukteshwaranand of causing harm to the country, saying, He is harming the nation. We are presenting all these documents for the sake of the country. He further alleged, Avimukteshwaranand is killing and kidnapping people, raising questions against the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram, he is attending weddings pretending to be a Sanyasi. He is the culprit. He also accused Avimukteshwaranand of lying to the Supreme Court when he surrendered.Counter-accusations from Jyotishpeethadhiswars campEarlier, on July 12, a press conference was held at Srividyamath on Shankaracharya Ghat. Power of Attorney holder Rajendra Mishra, Chief Justice Service Dr. Girish Chandra Tiwari, and Media Incharge Sanjay Pandey jointly accused Govindananda Saraswati of being a trickster and impostor. They stated, Govindananda Saraswati is deceitful and not a true Dandi Sanyasi disciple of the late Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Swarupnanand Saraswati Ji.Accusations of fraud The officials alleged that Govindananda Saraswati created fake documents, falsely claimed to be a Dandi Sanyasi on his Aadhar card, and deceived people. As a result, the accounts operated by Jyotishpeethadhiswar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj in Canara Bank and Bank of India were frozen from June 5.
