Karnataka News: Days after the tragic death of Atul Subhash, a Bengaluru-based professional who died by suicide amid allegations of harassment, the police have arrested his wife, Nikita Singhania, along with her mother and brother. The arrests occurred on Sunday, with Nikita apprehended in Gurugram, Haryana, while her mother, Nisha, and brother, Anurag, were captured in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. This action comes as part of an investigation into allegations of abetment to suicide.

Arrests and Charges

According to a senior police officer, the trio has been accused of demanding an exorbitant sum of ₹3 crore to withdraw legal cases against Atul and an additional ₹30 lakh for visitation rights concerning their son. The Bengaluru Police sought assistance from their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh to locate the suspects after they reportedly fled their home in Jaunpur late Wednesday.

Atul Subhash, 34, was discovered deceased in his apartment on Monday. Following this incident, his brother Bikas Kumar filed a complaint against Nikita, Nisha, Anurag, and their uncle Sushil Singhania. The police confirmed that the accused were presented in court and subsequently placed in judicial custody.

A Heart-Wrenching Note

In a chilling revelation of his struggles, Atul left behind a 24-page note detailing his ordeal and shared an 81-minute video where he expressed his plea for justice. In the video, he wore a board around his neck stating "Justice is Due." He also accused a family court judge in Uttar Pradesh of corruption and bias towards his in-laws.Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Atul served as a deputy general manager at an automobile firm in Bengaluru.

He married Nikita Singhania, a software professional, in 2019; however, their relationship deteriorated over time leading to their separation. Atul was embroiled in multiple legal battles, facing nine cases that included serious allegations such as murder and dowry harassment. His parents were also implicated in some of these accusations.
