The Karimganj district of Assam saw lack of humanity in people when a teenage girls cold body was raped by three individuals, after strangling her to death. The police have arrested the three accused, one of whom is a railway employee.The minors body was found beside the Karimganj bypass on September 9 which was the same day she was murdered. Upon the discovery of the body, it was sent for further examinations with results later confirming necrophilia.Assam Police registers case against accused The Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, said Karimganj Superintendent of Police Partha Pratim Das.During the course of the investigation, police found a phone number in the girls personal diary, through which the three accused were traced and nabbed from their homes in Karimganj town, the SP said.“It was found that a newly recruited railway employee had an affair with the girl and was pressuring her to have a physical relationship with him, but she repeatedly rejected his sexual advances,” he said. “On September 9, on finding the girl alone at her home, her lover, along with two of his friends, tried to rape her. When she resisted, they strangled her to death and took turns to engage in sexual acts with the corpse,” he added. After performing this heinous act the accused disposed of the body near the bypass, from where it was later recovered and identified by her parents, SP Das said.Similar incident: Ujjain rape caseEarlier this week in a similar act of minor rape brutality, a 12-year-old was seen going door to door seeking help after she was raped by an individual.
