Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been remanded to judicial custody until April 15 in the liquor policy scam case, following his appearance in a Delhi court on Monday. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) presented Kejriwal before the court after his ED custody expired on April 1. The probe agency had requested judicial custody for Kejriwal, citing alleged evasive responses during his interrogation, where he reportedly responded with 'I don't know' to many questions.
Before his court appearance, Kejriwal directed criticism at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing disapproval of the PM's actions, which he deemed detrimental to the country's welfare.
Last Thursday, a Delhi court extended the ED's custody of the AAP convenor until April 1. However, despite the agency's request for a seven-day extension, the court mandated Kejriwal's appearance on April 1 at 11 am.

During Kejriwal's custodial interrogation, the ED claims to have recorded his statements over five days, during which he allegedly provided vague and non-committal responses. The agency also recorded statements from three other individuals related to the case during this period.
Additionally, the ED reported that Kejriwal was confronted with C Arvind, the former personal secretary to deputy CM Manish Sisodia, regarding the draft Group of Ministers (GoM) report for the 2021-22 excise policy, allegedly handed over at the CM's residence.
