Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: Delhi Cabinet ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj were apprehended today as members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) initiated a demonstration against the BJP regarding the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the excise policy case.

The detention of the two ministers occurred amidst a gathering of protesters at the ITO intersection, situated in proximity to both the AAP and BJP headquarters, following the enforcement of prohibitory orders under section 144 in the area.

The scene unfolded as AAP supporters voiced their dissent against the BJP-led central government, chanting slogans expressing their discontent. Law enforcement officials took action by detaining the ministers and housing them within a police bus to manage the crowd and maintain order in the vicinity.

To control the situation further, the police strategically positioned barricades along Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, the location of the party headquarters for both AAP and BJP. Additionally, the road connecting the BJP office to the AAP headquarters, situated in close proximity, has been blocked for traffic with ID checks being conducted for anyone attempting to enter the area.

The events transpired following Arvind Kejriwal's arrest on Thursday evening, prompting the AAP to issue a nationwide call for protests against the BJP, resulting in heightened tensions and demonstrations in the capital city.
