Arrah witnesses deadly gunfire as three friends are shot over old rivalry

A shivering spell of crime still holds Bhojpur district as three friends were ruthlessly shot in Arrah, resulting in one being killed and two others being left seriously injured. The shooting, which occurred in the Ramgarh locality, has sent shock throughout the town with an atmosphere filled with fear and tension among citizens.

Gunfire erupts over old rivalry

In accordance with early reports, the shooting took place outside the Ramgarh Cold Storage, where three young men were fired upon by unidentified attackers. One of the victims died immediately from his wounds, while the other two were taken to Sadar Hospital for immediate treatment. Their condition is now stated as stable.

Initial investigations indicate that the attack was a culmination of an old feud between the victims and the accused. It is thought that a previous altercation, possibly over illicit liquor business, drove this violent encounter. One of the injured men told the media, "We had a previous dispute with them. They are into the liquor business, and they suspected that we were tipping off the police.". As we were coming back home from dinner, three men opened fire on us abruptly.

Police on high alert, case registered

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Parichay Kumar confirmed the incident and said, "Three people were shot in Bindtoli. One of them has died, while the remaining two are being treated and are safe. Initial investigations have suggested that the rivalry had been going on for the last two years."

The police have filed a case and stepped up their investigation to identify and arrest the perpetrators. Law enforcement authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage and taking eyewitness accounts to reconstruct the events.

People in Arrah are now calling for the authorities to increase security and stem the growing crime rate in the area.
