Hathras tragedy: Major stampede leaves over 121 dead including women, horrific visuals surface

The research indicates that a stampede during Bhole Baba's satsang caused this accident. Among the deceased were 19 women in all.

There is tragic news out of Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district. A stampede that killed 121 individuals who had come to this location for a Satsang died and left 8 injured. The Chief Medical Officer of Etah affirmed this. The research indicates that a stampede during Bhole Baba's satsang caused this accident. Mukhya sevadar, other organisers of 'satsang' named in FIR. Among the deceased were over 25 women in all.

CMO Etah, Umesh Kumar Tripathi says, "27 bodies have arrived at the post-mortem house so far, including 25 women and 2 men. Many injured have also been admitted. Further details will be revealed after the investigation. The primary reason is a stampede during a religious event Rajesh Kumar Singh, the SSP for Etah, discussed the occurrence by saying, "A religious ceremony was taking place in a village of Hathras district when the rush occurred. The Etah Hospital has already received 27 dead bodies, including 3 children, 1 man, and 23 women. The wounded have not arrived at the hospital yet. Investigations are being conducted further. The process of identifying these 27 bodies is underway."

The source stated that there was a stampede in the Bhole Baba Satsang in Fullerai village, which is in the Hathras district's Sikandrarao police station jurisdiction. Many devotees perished during this time. The deceased people's bodies have been sent to Eta Medical College.  According to Rakesh Pratap Singh, this mishap occurred at Bhole Baba's Satsang in the fuller hamlet of the Sikandrarao police station region of the Hathras district.  The information states that a stampede that occurred after the satsang was over caused the catastrophe. There are several suspected fatalities in the stampede. After Bhole Baba's satsang, there was a stampede. There was a satsang led by Bhole Baba in Ratibhaanpur, near the border of Etah and Hathras. Numerous wounded have been transported to Etah Medical College.

PM Narendra Modi mentioned the incident in the parliament hearing saying, "There are reports of many people dying in the stampede in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. I express my condolences to those who lost their lives in this accident. I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured. The administration is engaged in relief and rescue work under the supervision of the state government. Senior officials of the central government are in constant touch with the Uttar Pradesh government. I assure everyone through this House that the victims will be helped in every way."

The CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has stated the tragic incident in Hatras. He has also wished for the injured people's quick recovery. He has instructed district administration representatives to expedite relief efforts on the scene and to transport injured patients right away to a hospital for appropriate care.  He has instructed ADG Agra and Commissioner Aligarh to lead an investigation into the incident's causes.

The Uttar Pradesh CM later released another video statement, he mentioned that the incident was incredibly depressing and heartbreaking. Following the Satsang, when the baba was leaving the platform, a throng of devotees began to approach him, wanting to touch him. The accident occurred when the "sevadars" intervened to stop them. CM has added that the cabinet has assembled a team led by Additional DG Agra to look into this problem in its entirety, with a request to submit a thorough report. The state's DGP and Chief Secretary are camped there in light of the tragedy. Asim Arun, Sandeep Singh, and Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, three state government ministers, are all present at the location."
