On July 19, security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Keran sector, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists. The operation marks another instance of the forces' proactive stance against cross-border infiltration activities. Prior to this, an encounter with terrorists in the Kastigarh area of Doda district led to injuries to two soldiers. The engagement underscores the persistent challenges faced by security personnel in the region.

These incidents follow closely on the heels of a tragic encounter days earlier in Doda, where four army soldiers, including an officer, lost their lives while combating terrorists.
