Police Investigate Amidst Rising Concerns

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is currently underway. This incident comes on the heels of another similar occurrence in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar, raising alarms across the city as residents grapple with two shooting incidents within a 24-hour span.

Shots Fired Outside Sweet Shop in Tilak Nagar

On Friday night, a separate shooting was reported outside Singla Sweet Shop in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar. The attack, suspected to be connected to an extortion racket, occurred at around 11 PM. Witnesses reported that two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire at the shop’s front glass, causing panic among customers and staff inside. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Police recovered four empty cartridges from the scene and have registered a case, with an investigation currently in progress.

Extortion Threats Linked to Notorious Gangster

Further investigation revealed that two weeks prior to the shooting, the owner of the sweet shop had received an extortion demand of Rs 2 crore from gangster Kapil Sangwan, also known as Nandu.
