New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradeshs Muzaffarnagar district. Here, a man killed his wife just seven months after their love marriage. Only to make sure the body couldnt be identified, he cut off her neck and hands. His friend also helped him in this brutal crime as they put the body in a sack and threw it into the Kali River. Due to presence of water hyacinths, the body didnt flow away rather it got stuck.Police seize murder weapon On Wednesday night, both accused tried to submerge the body in the river, however, to their dismay the body got stuck. This led to the arrest of her husband while his friends accomplice managed to flee from the scene. The police have recovered the murder weapon and the bike. During interrogation, the accused said that his wifes excessive spending troubled him, leading him to take this step.City SP reveals the harrowing detailsDuring a press conference at the police station, SP City Satyanarayan Prajapat said that late Wednesday night, two young men were trying to float a body in a sack in the Kali River. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrived and caught one of the accused while the other escaped. The arrested man, Arbaaz, a resident of Nyazupura, said during questioning that the body was his wife Chahat.A week earlier, he and his friend Shahrukh had killed her by cutting her neck with a knife. They also cut off her hands, put the body in a sack, and threw it into the Kali River, but the body didnt float away because of water hyacinths.How situation escalate Station in-charge Akshay Sharma said that Arbaaz runs a dairy and had kept his marriage to Chahat a secret from his family. For a long time, Chahat was insisting on visiting her in-laws house and had high expenses. This led to fights between them. Because of this, Arbaaz conspired with his friend Shahrukh to kill her. To hide her identity, they cut off her head and hands.
