Salman Khan death threat from Lawrence Bishnoi gang: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received a new death threat from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding that he either apologize at a temple for the alleged killing of a black buck or pay a sum of ₹5 crore. This alarming message was communicated to the Mumbai Police Traffic Control unit on Monday by someone claiming to be the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Specific demands from the gang

The threatening message stated, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not comply, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” In response, the police are investigating the origin of this threat and have increased security measures for the actor. They are also trying to determine if the message is directly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and extortion.

Police action underway

The Mumbai Police confirmed that a case is being registered at the Worli Police Station in light of the threats against Khan. “The process of registering the case is underway at Worli Police Station. The number from which the message was sent is being traced,” reported news agency ANI.

History of threats to Salman Khan

This is not the first time Salman Khan has faced death threats. Just last month, he received a similar threat demanding ₹2 crore, prompting police action that led to the arrest of a suspect from Mumbai's Bandra on October 30. The Mumbai Traffic Police had previously received an anonymous message threatening to kill the actor if he didn’t pay up.

In April, Salman Khan's residence in Bandra was targeted when assailants fired shots outside his home. The police have been actively responding to these threats, which have included arrests linked to various individuals allegedly connected to the Bishnoi gang.

This ongoing saga underscores the serious and persistent threats faced by the actor, emphasizing the urgent need for effective protective measures.
